Due date: December 7th, 2017
How far along: 21 weeks and 5 days
Gender: BOY!!!!
Baby’s name: We have a few at the top of our list that we like. Still talking about it J
Size of the baby: One of my apps tells me he’s the size of a pomegranate – about 10.5 inches and 12 ounces. At our anatomy ultrasound the tech said I was measuring about a week ahead but she mentioned that could just be because Randy and I are so tall. Baby boy will be large and in charge!
Movement: Feeling him kick ALL.THE.TIME. He’s like a little alien in there. It’s so strange but so awesome at the same time.
Total weight gain so far: Just over 10 pounds.
Symptoms: Swollen ankles/feet have been my biggest issue lately. Trying to put them up when I can. I hope when the fall weather brings some cooler temps, my swelling will slow down a little bit. Other than that.. I’ve still had some round ligament pain and I’m experiencing some leg cramps at night. I usually sleep pretty well and feel great!
Most recent doctor appointment: We just had one last Friday. Everything was good – doctor said that little man’s heartbeat was a teensy bit high but he’s an active child so we’re thinking he was just excited and moving around.
Belly button in or out: Still in. Looks a little different but still in.
Favorite maternity clothes right now: Ugh, none. I despise getting dressed in the mornings. I just want to wear dresses and skirts – pants are not for me right now.
Stretch marks: None so far!
Sleep: Still good. Only wake up occasionally for leg cramps recently.
Mood: I can be a little cranky here and there J But I’ve only really cried a couple times my whole pregnancy so far – I think that’s pretty good. Hormones haven’t gotten the best of me there, yet!
Food cravings: Still craving meat – tacos, spaghetti, anything chicken,etc. I’ve had occasional cravings for an ice cream cone or something like that here or there but I’m not much for sweets as of late.
Favorite moment this week: Feeling all the baby’s kicks and hearing the heartbeat again!
Biggest complaint: The swelling. It’s really no big deal in the grand scheme of things but just annoying when I look down at my pretty cankles ;)
Recent baby purchase: ALLLLLL the Hobby Lobby stuff. Randy and I went last weekend to look and saw some cute things but there was nothing on sale so we waited. But this weekend I was in Saint Cloud and of course they had a sale so I bought a whole bunch of stuff to decorate the nursery!
Hubby: He got to feel the little babe kick for the first time last week J I swear every time I’d try to catch him kicking, he would stop as soon as Randy tried to feel it. Little stinker. But we finally caught him!
Nursery: Finally making some headway here! I spent a good chunk of a Sunday going through the room (which used to be my old room growing up) and cleaning things out. We threw out a few bags of garbage, donated a few bags of ‘stuff’ and I kept half a container of old stuff I’d like to hold on to. I think that’s pretty good for it being my childhood bedroom! We’re still shopping around for gliders and cribs but it’s looking roomier in there now and as mentioned above – I have some décor purchased!
Labor signs: None!
Looking forward to: Working more on the nursery.
